Be Your Best Self...
Throughout my preparation for the Olympic Games I trained with a team of sport medicine specialists, nutritionists and talented coaches. I thoroughly enjoyed this physical work but I had an enlightening “A-HA” moment, when I was introduced to meditation and visualization practices by Dr. Ken Ravizza of Cal State Fullerton.

It is imperative that elite athletes consider their mental preparation and pre-performance routines in advance of competition. Stress management, focus and re-focus techniques are required in all team and individual sports.

The practice of yoga can be an integral tool for youth teams, amateur and elite athletes as they condition mentally and physically to perform at their very best. Yoga can:

• Develop team dynamics
• Help strengthen core, upper and lower body muscles
• Improve flexibility
• Prevent injuries and assist with rehabilitation
• Provide invaluable breathing and mental focus techniques

The Hot Corner is committed to helping athletes develop their “best selves”. We offer team building sessions, as well as 4 and 8 week programs, tailored to your sport specific needs.

Sessions are available at your indoor training location or at the Live With Spirit yoga studio in Brooklin, Ontario.

Erin McLean is also available for motivational speaking engagements on such topics as peak performance, stress/time management, mental training, visualization, and the importance of routine. She enjoys sharing her experiences as a University and Olympic Athlete with young athletes and businesses in the community.
